Well House

Jim Munter

LT15

Project Description
The down-hole well piping at our cabin froze during an exceptionally cold January in 2020. there is no permafrost there, so we decided to use ambient ground heat and an insulated well house to keep it from happening again. We had left over log ends from our cabin project and designed and built a log well house. The roofing was reused from a friends shed that had been torn down. We insulated inside with left over 2-inch blue board from our cabin foundation. We also used left over log screws. The primary cost for the project was some gas for the Woodmizer LT15.
