DESCRIPTION OU APERÇU
Locally salvaged timber is the inspiration for creating this uniquely Hawaiian Arts and Crafts style entry door. The Stiles of the door are from 50 year old Rainbow Eucalyptus that unfortunately were in the path of the 2018 Kilauea Volcano eruption on the Island of Hawaii (Big Island) which came within feet of the lava flows. The Panel sections are from the highly prized native Koa, with tongue and groove joinery that follows the live edge grain, and was salvaged from a 2016 tropical storm, the Threshold Sill is from Ironwood a introduced species with hardness greater then North American Oak and the Trim and Jamb was milled from a 40 year old Loblolly Pine with a 36” base trunk diameter.
